What Is the Song With Lyrics of Baby Tonight Is the Start of Our Life

Picture this: You've orchestrated the perfect at-dwelling house date for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. Only just every bit your person texts you lot that they're on their way, y'all realize that you lot have no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. After all, you tin't have your early on 2000s guilty pleasance songs come up up on shuffle while you're trying to stare lovingly into your partner's eyes (nothing ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the beginning of "Soulja Male child." And yes, that example is based on a true story).

Anyway, I've got yous covered with my list of the most cute, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs always written (in my apprehensive opinion). Yous'll have your beat/partner/Bumble date swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Virtually romantic lyrics: "I'm in your centre, I'm in your dream/ So fuck the world it's y'all and me"

Rationale: When the outside world becomes savage, many couples turn inward and develop that us-against-the-earth mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it's like to feel shut to someone, spending much of this song describing the picayune things he loves about his partner, like her "stained drinking glass" eyes, butterscotch-scented skin, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every way, and Mac delivers them with his characteristic rawness.

"These Artillery of Mine" - Otis Redding

Most romantic lyrics: "These artillery of mine, they are lonely/ Lonely and feeling blue/ These arms of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you lot"

Rationale: This vocal hits me right in the breast. It'southward incommunicable not to experience your arms and chest agonized like Reddings' when he sings most called-for to hold his lover. The music crescendos around his polish voice as he begs,  "And if you would allow them agree you/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It'south such a sugariness, earnest plea for love, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, as well.

"Ex Factor" - Lauryn Loma

About romantic lyrics: "See, no 1 loves y'all more than than me/ and no ane ever will"

Rationale: No i knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite like Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Factor" (and on this whole album, let's be existent), she'due south vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her beau. We recognize straightaway that her human relationship is toxic, just Colina'south honesty is and so cute that nosotros humble listeners have no choice but to sit down, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Honey" - Bon Iver

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Told my love to wreck it all/ Cut out all the ropes and allow me fall"

Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in middle schoolhouse. I could not finish singing it every bit I traipsed through my business firm, near-tears as I crooned about "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on earth had been rife with tragic love affairs.

Nevertheless, this vocal notwithstanding holds up. Bon Iver is a master at depicting what it's like to fully surrender yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt y'all in the end. I all the same sing this song while I lounge effectually my niggling studio apartment, drawing on real-life experiences this time, though I assure y'all that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, face to face/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I need you to love me/ I demand you today/ Give me to me your leather, take from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its most poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and then performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, but their chemistry and passion for each other makes it all the more impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I think thinking, My God, dude. Why would you practice this to me?

Wrecked.

The Way You lot Await This night" - Frank Sinatra

Near romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never modify/ keep that breathless amuse/ won't you please arrange information technology?/ 'Crusade I beloved y'all/ Just the way you look tonight"

Rationale: Ah, yes. The vocal that plays at every wedding on earth. Popular songs are pop for a reason, though, and this one endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of love that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra's version, I'grand also fractional to Fred Astaire's rendition in the 1936 film Swing Fourth dimension and the sweetness withal natural language-in-cheek visuals become along with it.

"Everlasting Light" - The Black Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Let me exist your everlasting calorie-free/ Your railroad train going away from pain/ Beloved is the coal that makes this train roll/ Allow me be your everlasting light"

Rationale: If you read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of like a belatedly nineteenth century verse form. The love in this vocal is so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely proceeds cool-points by playing The Black Keys on a first appointment.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" - Amy Winehouse

Most romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to love, beloved, love him/ Just to encounter that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No 1 does unbridled dearest like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful voice takes center stage in this Phil Spector cover, and if you're not already in love, it will make you want to be.

"Like Real People Exercise" - Hozier

Nearly romantic lyrics: "I will not ask you where y'all came from/ I will non inquire you, neither should you/ Dear, just put your sweet lips on my lips/ We should just kiss like real people practice"

Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his love interest to forget that they both take pasts (who doesn't?) and to just love him. There's a sense that both people in the song consider themselves odd in some way (again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners like each other for ages. "Like Real People Do" reminds us of how miraculous it feels to honey and be loved back.

"Can't Take My Optics Off You" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons

Almost romantic lyrics: "You're just besides adept to be true/ Can't take my optics off of y'all/ You'd exist similar heaven to touch/ I wanna hold you so much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my dwelling state of New Jersey: They just don't make 'em like this anymore. And it's truthful―this vocal manages to residual emotional and sexual yearning without existence crude.

And only... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings most loving his girl so much that he thanks God he'due south live. My Lord. They actually just do not make 'em quite like this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean

About romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, you run my listen, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"

Rationale: This is Frank Bounding main's most criminally underrated vocal and I will fight anyone who has anything negative to say about it. In fact, I one time fabricated a very loud, spirited defense force of this song when I was in high school, right after Body of water's ill-received performance of it at the 2013 Grammys.

The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 picture show Forrest Gump. It's about a cleaved, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring love after a groovy bargain of time has passed. Information technology'south specially meaningful, in my opinion, considering Bounding main penned the song in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Take Me The Way I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Most romantic lyrics: "'Cause I beloved y'all more than I could ever hope/ And y'all take me the way I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-girl love songs of the early on 2000s, and this 1 was her nearly popular. Michaelson rejoices in having found a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his hair starts falling out. It'due south a promise to love someone forever.

"I'm Not Dead" - P!nk

Most romantic lyrics: "Right across the cigarette and the devilish smile/You're my crack of sunlight/ You tin can practice the math a chiliad means/ Only you can't erase the facts/ That others come up and others go/ But you always come up back"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk's music. In "I'm Not Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love vocal almost being a flawed human deeply in love with another flawed human being. Waxing poetic about her and her boyfriend's (her time to come husband, Cary Hart, past the way) tattoos and alluding to her ain mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés about love in favor of something far more than authentic and affecting.

"Hannah Hunt" - Vampire Weekend

Almost romantic lyrics: "A human of faith said subconscious eyes could run across what I was thinkin'/ I merely smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how you lot wound me with your beautiful words! In this vocal, our narrator seems to exist moving around the U.S. with his dear Hannah until she grows homesick for the east coast. Having lived in New England for around seven years, I'm partial to this song for its "freezing beaches" references, but it's besides a gentle tribute to the way time glides away when y'all're with someone you love.

"A Vocal For You" - Donny Hathaway

Most romantic lyrics: "I love you in a place/ Where there's no space or fourth dimension/ I love yous for my life/ You're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Remember when we were together"

Rationale: There accept been many versions of this song, only this one's my favorite. It was also Amy Winehouse'south favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that one can't assist but feel he'south reciting a memoir when he sings his amends to a adult female he neglected to settle downwardly with considering he was besides busy performing effectually the world.

"Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Most romantic lyrics: "Don't stray/ My kind's your kind/ I'll stay the aforementioned."

Rationale: Yes, this song is 90 pct just Karen O singing "Wait, they don't love you like I honey you," but it's then powerful! If you say something the right way, and the accompanying music is practiced plenty, there'south no need to embellish much more. Proof: Beyoncé conspicuously nods to this song in her 2016 single "Agree Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade later, across genres.

"If I Ain't Got You" - Alicia Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Some people desire diamond rings/ Some just desire everything/ But everything means nothing/ If I ain't got you"

Rationale: This vocal is all the more touching when yous retrieve that she wrote information technology simply as she was beginning to become famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―forth with promises of riches, jewelry, or countless life would all mean naught if she didn't take her man.

"Pine Tree Lines" - Told Slant

Well-nigh romantic lines: "I am the girl my parents made/ Why don't you lot honey me anyway/ 'Cause I love the way yous take upwards space"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Lead singer Felix Walworth delivers this song and so earnestly that his vocalisation literally cracks during that final line. I've never heard a simpler or more startlingly accurate depiction of adoration than loving the way someone takes upwardly infinite.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Near romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No one thinks near you lot/ The style I practise" (Translated from Spanish)

Rationale: Shakira spends nigh of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't empathize soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and and so proceeds to inquire her man to dearest her anyway.

"I Found You" - Alabama Shakes

Most romantic lyrics: "I call up all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my own/ Then you brought me everything/ You made my house a domicile"

Rationale: This is a commemoration of finally finding your person. So who better to listen to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Iv Seasons

About romantic lines: "I'd change her deplorable rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Crusade they say that she's no skilful."

Rationale: Some other 4 Seasons song, yes. I'chiliad from Jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional beloved for a daughter much poorer than he is, fantasizing well-nigh replacing her tattered apparel with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song past crying, "I love you lot merely the fashion you lot are."

He wants to give everything to someone who can offer him nothing textile. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving You lot" - Led Zeppelin

Most romantic lyrics: "But infant, since I've been loving you, yeah/ I'm about to lose my worried heed/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Man, these lyrics look so underwhelming when written down sans musical accompaniment. Information technology's tragic.

What makes this vocal so romantic, to me, is the organ and bass work by John Paul Jones pair with Robert Plant's searing vocals. It's a power blues vocal that hits you right in the gut. If desperate desire were a audio, this would be it.

"You lot Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Most romantic lines: "If you don't worry 'bout where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What club I went to with my homies/ Infant, don't worry, you lot know that you got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this live. Erykah reassures her swain during the chorus that she'll ever be loyal to him, while Blackness Thought (lead MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. It'southward the best dearest song in hip hop, hands down.

"(You lot Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Near romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and plant/ You came forth to claim it/ I didn't know merely what was incorrect with me/ 'Til your osculation helped me name it"

Rationale: We should heal ourselves rather than wait effectually for someone to heal usa, but that doesn't mean that honey can't be a healing feel. It's really romantic to thank someone for making you experience expert, and that's precisely what this vocal (written by the flawless Carole King) is about.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Most romantic lyrics: "We can't help only follow, she'due south Buddha, just watch her/ She moves similar an old gypsy woman but swears she's a daughter/ And all that she asks nosotros'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the hour"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both nonetheless dating and even so the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a placidity dear letter to Castrinos―you lot could imagine Ebert singing it to her at night by the campfire while the rest of the band is asleep (that's this ring's vibe, really). It'south a shame that we no longer get to spotter the sweet relationship between these talented musicians, but at to the lowest degree we'll always accept this hippie love song.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

Most romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ You know who I am/ Y'all know I can't let you/ Slide through my hands/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me away"

Rationale: Ane of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s as well happened to write one of the most poignant songs near beloved and devotion. This is about a long, deep intimacy between two people, and of beingness physically unable to resist the person yous adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Front Bottoms

Nigh romantic lyrics: "I would sleep better on your floor/ Than I would e'er in my bed/ And if your carpet makes my face crawling/ Information technology'd however be heaven in my caput"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the above lyrics, sung with pb singer Brian Sella's signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his love for this girl, promising to practice his guitar every night, to sleep on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor'southward communication―all to win her love. We shouldn't have to debase ourselves for love (*rolls eyes* yeah, yes yeah), but this is art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who'south prayed for their love to be reciprocated.

"Loving You lot" - Elvis Presley

Most romantic lyrics: "If I'g seen with someone new/ Don't be blue, don't yous be blue/ I'll exist faithful, I'll exist true/ Always true, true to yous"

Rationale: Elvis tells his love not to get jealous or to believe the hype around him and other women, reassuring her that she'southward the one for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love vocal.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Band

About romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ But dorsum home he'll ever run/ To sweet Melissa"

Rationale: Here, the Allman Brothers sing about a traveling musician who can't get over his sweetheart no thing how many other women he meets. She always ends up resurfacing in his mind, and eventually, he always returns to her.

"My One-time Human being" - Joni Mitchell

Nearly romantic lyrics: "He'due south my sunshine in the morning time/ He's my fireworks at the cease of the day/ He'due south the warmest chord I ever caput/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, baby"

Rationale: Mitchell's soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't need no slice of paper from the city hall." She'southward saying that she doesn't need external validation of the relationship―this man gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Dress" - Kanye West, Rick Ross

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The fashion you look should be a sin, you my awareness"

Rationale: Kanye West is a pretty polarizing figure, but this is still i of my favorite albums of all time. Information technology's a bittersweet tribute to his infamous relationship with Bister Rose, and this vocal encapsulates the often-sexy, always-complicated connectedness between 2 people who aren't good for each other, yet can't stay away from one some other.

"Dear of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Common

Most romantic lyrics: "Only that is all behind me/ 'Crusade at present there is no other/ My honey is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Love of my life"

Rationale: Conventional communication tells the states to autumn in love with someone who can exist our  friend, too. This vocal is about two lifelong all-time friends who find their fashion dorsum to each other afterward time spent apart. With her famously beguiling voice, Erykah Badu captures the joy of existence truly known by i's partner.

"A Lord's day Kind of Dearest" - Etta James

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I want a Lord's day kind of love/ A love to concluding past Sabbatum night/ I desire to know it's more than love at first sight"

Rationale: We've all been at this point before. If Etta James were to have written this song today, she would take been explaining that she was sick of i-dark-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that become nowhere. She'd be proverb she was tired of sweaty strangers in confined shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to take a shot.

Instead, she'd want something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt's Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all notice that Lord's day kind dear.

"Babe I'm Yours" - Chill Monkeys

Near romantic lyrics: "Baby, I'm yours/ And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the heaven/ Yours until the rivers all run dry out/ In other words, until I die"

Rationale: This vocal sounds similar information technology was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, it's your run-of-the-manufacturing plant slow song, but there'south something mannerly near the Arctic Monkeys existence the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Be Loved" - Maroon 5

Almost romantic lyrics:"I don't heed spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"

Rationale:I retrieve listening to this song in middle school, wishing that the boy I had a vanquish on would love me enough to stand outside my window in the rain. In hindsight, that would have been awkward and inconvenient to explain to my female parent, and these days I would probably find such behavior creepy (when I'one thousand in my pajamas in my apartment, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the last thing I need is a man continuing outside, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), but the sentiment of this vocal still stands.

"Because the Night" - Patti Smith

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Come on, now, try and understand/ The style I feel when I'm in your hands/ Take my manus, come undercover/ They can't injure y'all at present"

Rationale: In this vocal, which was originally written past lyrical fable Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he's safe with her. If you've read Smith's book Only Kids, you'll probably listen to this song and think of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to it down the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Almost romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his artillery/ And he speaks to me softly/ I run into the globe through rose-colored spectacles" (Translated from French)

Rationale: You definitely know this song. It's the go-to for every romantic scene in every American movie most France. And, granted, it's a great choice for a dinner engagement, especially if yous want to get a little ho-hum dancing started.

"Someday" - The Growlers

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Merely stay for ane more night/ 1 day y'all're gonna be my wife/ You'll never have to worry once again/ I'k gonna be your man"

Rationale: It sounds lead singer Brooks Nielsen's now-married woman was getting really sick of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song as a plea to get her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and it would take worked on me, too, tbh.

"Wouldn't Information technology Be Nice" - The Beach Boys

Most romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?/ And so we wouldn't have to expect so long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who'south already certain about who he wants to spend the remainder of his life with. And he'south wishing that the balance of his life could beginning correct now.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Not really certain how to feel almost it/ Somethin' in the manner you move/ Makes me feel similar I can't live without you"

Rationale: Love isn't a formula. In that location'southward no real logic to why we fall in dearest with some people but not others, and Rihanna hits the boom on the head when she says it's just "something in the fashion [he] move[south]." Information technology'southward reminiscent of The Beatles' song "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Most romantic lyrics: "Something in the mode she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the mode she woos me / I don't desire to exit her at present"

Rationale:This song is a tedious, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy album. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned information technology, writing that he wasn't sure what exactly triggered his dearest or whether it would grow.  All he knew was that the love was there, and that that should be plenty.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Nigh romantic lyrics: "And they love each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than nosotros know, beloved each other and so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This song is about two non-binary people falling in beloved, which is pretty absurd for a vocal from 1984. Our main characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling argument about why traditional gender roles and habiliment should make no departure if yous're truly in love with someone.

"I'll Be Seeing You" - Billie Holiday

Most romantic lyrics: "I'll observe you in the morning sun/ In every lovely summer'south day/ In everything that's right and gay/ I'll e'er think of you"

Rationale: You know when you're freshly in dear (or heartbroken), and everything reminds you of that person? That's what this song is about. Everything around Holiday―the natural world, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her dearest.

"Sunday Candy" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Most romantic lyrics: "You've got to motion it slowly/ Take it in my body like it's holy/ I've been waiting for you lot for the whole week/ I've been praying for you, you're my Sunday candy"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such as Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the quondam of which is featured heavily on this song). Jamila Woods performs the chorus to this song so sweetly that information technology'southward piece of cake to forget the sexual implications, and she and Take chances tell the story of a couple that spends a calendar week at a time missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of ane another until they're finally reunited.

"Come As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come equally yous are/ As you were/ Every bit I want you to exist"

Rationale: There are many interpretations of what this vocal means, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. Just, to me, "Come Every bit You Are" works as the ultimate grunge love song; every bit a promise to dearest and appreciate someone simply the way they are.

"Delight, Please, Delight" - James Dark-brown

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Baby delight, babe please, please me/ Babe delight, babe please don't go/ Don't go, I said babe, don't baby/ I love you so"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Brown repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that before its release. Just, like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this track's magic lies in the passion with which it's delivered–and James Brown is nothing if not passionate.

"I Will Always Dear Yous" - Dolly Parton

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "And I hope life volition care for you kind/ And I hope that yous accept all/ That you always dreamed of/ Oh, I do wish you lot joy/ And I wish you lot happiness/ But above all this/ I wish you love"

Rationale: Without a doubt, y'all're familiar with Whitney Houston'due south rendition of "I Volition Always Love Yous," just I honey Dolly Parton's soft-spoken, country version every bit well. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a peachy alternative for when you desire to hear this song on a tranquillity evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Most romantic lyrics: "And I wish y'all all the love in the world/ But nearly of all, I wish it from myself/ And the songbirds proceed singing/ Like they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking up inside their ranks, and Christine McVie (writer and chief singer on this song) was no exception. This is a unique honey song, because it does unconditional dearest unlike any other: It illustrates how it's entirely possible to love someone and want the best for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that you might not be that best thing.

"Showtime Day of My Life" - Bright Eyes

Most romantic lyrics: "Just I realized I need you/ And I wondered if I could come home"

Rationale: This Vivid Optics track makes me wish I was improve at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his beloved, telling her, "I'one thousand glad I didn't die before I met you," and asking for permission to arroyo. It's an exercise in startling honesty, and the consequence, like the whole album, is profound.

"Body of water of Honey" - Cat Ability

Almost romantic lyrics: "Come up with me, my dearest/ To the sea, the sea of dearest/ I wanna tell you/ How much I love you "

Rationale: Originally, the last song on this list was going to be T.I.'s "Whatever Yous Like" because I'm adamant that it will play at my wedding one day (I'm non kidding), just "Ocean of Love" is too romantic to decline. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Power delivers a cursory only heartfelt honey alphabetic character whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. 10/10.
